Evonik’s main focus in the Greater China region is on chemicals. Our chemicals business in this region can trace its roots to a range of trading relations stretching back to the opening of an office in Shanghai in the 1930s. The Chemicals Business Area now has a total of 19 companies and 15 production sites in the region.The Evonik Group had 4,200 employees in the Greater China Region in 2007 and they generated consolidated sales of over €750 million.
