Evonik presents at the Chinaplas 2010

Despite the difficult economic situation, the Chinese plastics market is booming. Demand for plastic products and the associated subcontracted materials in China currently exceed 40 million metric tons per year. The upcoming Chinaplas from April 19 to 22 to be held in Shanghai New International Expo Centre is the largest and one of the most important tradeshows of the Chinese plastics industry, aiming to provide support on economic growth with innovative solutions.

Resource efficiency is a major megatrend that will revolutionize the global society and economy. Under the theme “Evonik innovates the Green Future”, Evonik will demonstrate its innovative plastics products and solutions for resource efficiency, and share our prospect of sustainable development on environment and social economy. Joining hands with our customers in various industries, Evonik will continue to make contribution to people's health and green life.

On the booth with an area of about 200 m², Evonik will display a series of eco-friendly plastics products, and innovative plastic materials and solutions. PLEXIGLAS®, PLEXIMID® and PLEXALLOY®

Thermoplastics
VESTAMID® HTplus (PPA), VESTAPEEK®
VESTAMID® HTplus is a polyphthalamide (PPA) based semicrystalline material，specially developed as a substitute for metal in conventional metal applications. In addition to high chemical resistance, molded parts made from VESTAMID® HTplus offer high dimensional stability and excellent mechanical properties such as rigidity and tensile strength. Its target market is automotive and electronics.

Beside VESTAKEEP® powders and granules, Evonik offers VESTAKEEP® based filaments, films and stock-shapes produced and distributed by extremely competent VESTAKEEP® partners, who have rich experience in the process of PEEK. The products are widely used in auto, aviation, medical science, semiconductor, and electronic industries.


Plastic Additives
TEGOMER® ANTISCRATCH, VESTENAMER®
TEGOMER® ANTISCRATCH products contain organo-modified siloxanes, which can provide permanent lubrication to plastic compounds. By reducing the surface coefficient of friction of plastics, they can improve scratch resistance and mar resistance of plastic parts. No migration, no odor, and minimized degradation after aging make TEGOMER® ANTISCRATCH additives the best in the market. TEGOMER® ANTISCRATCH products are used in plastic compounds such as auto interior parts and dashboard to bring them superior scratch/mar resistance.

VESTENAMER®
VESTENAMER® polyoctenamer offers new solution for mixing and paving problems, and dramatically overcomes cracking and rutting. VESTENAMER® pellets will lead to an easier-to-process mix, a superior surface finish, longer service life but lower cost per mile.

Pigment carbon Black
HIBLACK®, PRINTEX®, ARPSPERSE®
HIBLACK®, PRINTEX® and ARPSPERSE® have excellent coloring performance and outstanding UV stabilization. Besides, it has excellent electrical conductivity, high purity (low sulphur) and excellent dispersability. The applications cover synthetic fiber, PE pipe, wire & cable, general or engineered plastics, and conductive plastics such as IC tray.

POLYTREND® - Liquid Color System for Plastics
